Who we are

Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign in with Google, Microsoft, Facebook or Apple, we receive your name, email address and profile photo if available. We never receive your password, and we don't access your messages, contacts or posts.
- Your health information: the files you upload, your description of your condition, and any notes you write.
- Sharing settings: what you shared with whom, and when sharing started or ended.
- Technical information: such as device and browser type, IP address and sign-in times, to run and protect the service.
How we use your information
- To run your account and store and display your record to you.
- To carry out the sharing you request, only with the doctor or person you choose.
- To protect the service from abuse and unauthorized access.
- To send you necessary messages about your account or important changes to the service.
We don't use your health information for advertising, and we never sell or rent it.
Sharing
Your information is private by default. No doctor or other user can see anything except what you explicitly share with them, and you can stop any share at any time. After you stop sharing, the other person can no longer open the item through MedNote, but we can't control copies they may have made before.
We may use service providers, such as hosting and storage, who process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it. We may disclose information when required by law.
Security
We send your data over an encrypted connection, store it encrypted, and limit technical access to a small number of specialists when necessary. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we continuously work to protect your information.
Where data is stored
Your data may be stored and processed in a country other than the one you live in. We will state the hosting location on this page before the application launches.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete any file or your whole account at any time, and we then delete your data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
You can view, correct, download and delete your information. For any request you can't complete inside the app, email info@mednote.info.
Minors
MedNote is intended for adults. A parent or guardian can manage a child's record from their own account. People under the age of majority in their country may not create an account themselves.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
